Bulk Mail Preparation
for Small Businesses

Frequently Asked Questions

What qualifies as a standard bulk mailing?
A bulk mailing has to have at least 200 pieces, all alike in weight, content and appearance with no individual messages inside.

Do I have to have a permit to mail at bulk mail rates?
Yes, but you can use our permit number when we do the labor.

What indicates my mail piece is qualified for bulk mail?
A standard bulk mail piece must have either a bulk mail stamp or an indicia printed in the right corner on the envelope. It can be printed on the mail piece by the printer of the envelopes, or we can affix an indicia when we prepare the mail.

Can I get non-profit rates?
If you are a non-profit organization, and have filed all the required documents at the Ft. Worth Business office, you can get the non-profit rates. You can use your permit number or if you don’t have one, you can use ours.

Do you charge for picking up our mailing pieces or delivering them to the Post Office?
No. We have free pick-up and delivery within the Fort Worth area only.

How do we pay for postage?
You can deposit the money in your company’s bulk mail account, give us a check to take with the mailing, or buy low cost bulk mail stamps and write a check to the U.S. Postmaster for the difference.

How long will it take for you to complete the job?
Many of the jobs are in the mail the next day. Since each job is different, we will have to know what all needs to be done and how many pieces are in the total mailing to give you an estimate.

How much do you charge per piece?
Because of the variety of mail pieces, quantities and postal rules that apply to each mailing, each job is quoted individually. We are always glad to give you a quote over the phone, but we usually like to see a sample of the mail piece first, whenever possible. Contact us to price your individual mailing.

When do we pay you?
Payment can be either immediately after the delivery is completed or 30 days, whichever is most convenient? We do not accept credit cards.

Are there any other requirements I need to be aware of to mail at standard bulk rates?
Yes. The U.S. Postal Service wants to avoid undeliverable mail, so they ask each mailer to identify how they want to be notified of addresses that are undeliverable. Please contact us for more information.

Is there anything else we should know?
Since we are the one who presents your mailing for acceptance, and there are many rules a bulk mailing must adhere to, it is wise to call us first before you take your mailing to the printer. Often we can save you a lot of money, headaches, and delay of delivery time.
